When ever i send or receive an emotion sound i hear nothing.  My volume on my computer works find and i do have the latest Messenger Plus version. I can hear the little beeps everytime and new message is sent.  Anyone have any ideas?

Do you have them enabled? Plus> Preferences> Instant Messages > Commands & Tags > check "Allow Sound Commands"
If thats checked try changing the sound codec by going to Plus> Preferences> General Options > Sound Config > and check the codec that isnt checked. I hope that works

I have Allow Sound Commands checked and I did try both codecs already but no luck.  Thanks for the help though.

Try installing/reinstalling WMP 9.

Some thoughts since I've the same problems - does it have something to to with windows messenger? I've unistall my windows messenger and using only MSN messenger - just some thoughts................

No, it has nothing to do with windows messenger. Also it's not wise to uninstall windows messenger as certain things rely on it (remote assistance f.e.).

I think the little beeps are from your CPU speaker. Maybe your soundcard is damaged. Can you hear other sounds from your PC?
