O.P. NFSU2 technical question
today i got a small problem with my need 4 speed underground 2: the problem is that when i click the "left" arrow in menues it doesnt respond (yet in races it does); trying to solve this problem:
(1) first i re-installed, which didnt work out
(2) made a new profile, also didnt work out
(3) made a new windows account, this one worked - but im not willing to move on to a different windows account
(4) deleted the saves folder (\local settings\application dada\nfs underground 2\), also didnt work out

also i noticed that after i created a new nfs profile, and after i deleted the saves folder: both of these actions didnt delete some of my settings like controls and resolution.

so my question is: where does NFSU2 save other configuration files other than the saves folder ?!?!

RE: NFSU2 technical question
Perhaps it writes to the registry?

Use Regedit with caution to find out if theres hidden settings

thats my question, where are other settings stored?!?!

edit: i tried searching registery, the only meaningfull keys i found where in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA GAMES\NEED FOR SPEED UNDERGROUND 2\
i dont think this is it because (1) only few settings are there not complete set (2) and that it is found in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE which is common to all windows profiles, but using a different windows profile solved the problem!! so those settungs must be local to user!

Did you check in HKEY_CURRENT_USER? I play it in a cyber (it doesn't work in my PC), so I can't check it.
