I use to use quick quotes and i notice that a lot of times there are bugs in it.. like different name of the author (the most common), if i try o quick quote someone that quoted before sometimes it puts the other user's post, sometimes only appears part of it.. and today :

Has anyone here noticed this as well?

Fortunately most of the times its well.. but other times its bugged..

It actually happens when you highlite some text I think...

It works fine if you just use it properly. For example

that one occurs if you select part of one post but then click the quick quote button of another post (made by someone else). The selected text will be in the quote, but the name will be from the author of the post of which you clicked the button.

That happens if you (accidentally) select a part of a post and then press the quick quote button. Even if you have selected something and then click outside the selected text to undo the selection still only that part can appear in the quick reply box.

I refer to the paragraphs above: you selected that part (the IP logged text and such) as well, hence it was also quoted.

As you can see, there's nothing wrong with the quick quote feature

Aaa rofl didnt know q quote could do that... lol soz for this noobish thing 

I have experienced some problems using it too. And I have tested it to make sure I didn't click the wrong "q. quote button.  There are minor bugs, but I just work around them.

I had noticed that but imo its really useful even though there are a few bugs. We have good coders here and im sure they will find a way out of this problem (more of a bug actually)

IT's NOT A BUG, IT"S A FEATURE

When I copy a text then press quick quote after, it will paste my copied text....That's prolyl what the quote feature does it just copy and paste...

you had to select the text to copy-paste it...

When i quote text and click it (the button of the same post) it just quotes the whole post still, instead of just the text that i selected (Firefox 0.9)

Edit: FFox 0.9 is old, but its not broken, so why fix it?
