O.P. Undecided  MSN, Hates My Computer
"MSN Messenger setup has failed with error code: "1603". Please go to the MSN Messenger site and download the software from there."

Whenever I try running MSN 7.0, this messege pops up. I've tried uninstalling it, reinstalling it, and installing 6.2 in its place, and nothing works. Any ideas people?

Do a complete uninstall of MSN Messenger, Uninstall in Add/Remove Programs, then after this is done, delete the msn messenger folder and all of its contents, then download the msn messenger beta off of the official msn messenger download site, and install...

Start > Run, type: msiexec /unreg <enter>, wait until it appears to have finished.
Go back to Start > Run, type: msiexec /regserver <enter>.
Try to install MSN Messenger again.

Also make sure you are installing on an account with adminpriviledges (if unsure reboot into safemode and install on account called "administrator').

If you have AdAware Pro: disable AdWatch.
