Character Map

I'm having a problem with my character map. I run a Win XP Professional Edition and whenever I try opening the charmap, it doesn't open. Does anyone know what the cause/solution for this is?

You can try to reinstall the character map through Control Panal>Add/Remove Programs...

Then try to open it again to see whether it works...

That's a good idea but Character Map isn't one of the programs I can uninstall from the Add/Remove programs list...

goto add/remove then add/remove windows componets then accessories and utilites then accessories then you should see it
