My hide the banner has stopped working + the checkbox is ticked. Why?

I don't know if this is a bug, or a limitation, or just a problem on my end.

If I use the timestamp feature while Plus Custom Names are enabled, I see the e-mail address of my contact in the conversation window (even if I don't have a custom name set for that particular contact).
If I disable Custom Names, the timestamp and contact display nae appear fine.
