O.P. Undecided  messenger signing out/in
I have messenger 6.2 with plus 3.  I have disabled my firewall for 6.2. I have bellsouth ethernet extreme. I leave my messenger to appear offline  for activity event logging. As it is set to appear offline it will suddenly sign out   and then sign itself back on leaving me to appear online. Sometimes it will appear offline for 2 hours and then do this or it may wait 20 minutes and then do it. Even if I am having a converstaion it will logg me out and then later log me in.  normally there is only  one other application running at the time I am using messenger.....Please help.
Thank you

is your connection bumping?
this seems to be a connection problem, not a messenger problem..
best thing i can think of is to keep ur connection active...
say downloading something big that takes ages :D

about your status changing..

you could use a program called status saver

search the forums for it :)

before I do this....every thing  was working fine until about a month ago..that is when it started acting up...I also called bellsouth about the connectivity and of course they speak that there is nothing wrong on there end. I had installed msn 7 and taken out the 6.2 version and then reversed it back. I have found in adminstrative tools  an application hangup in the event viewer close to after ding this could I have made the problem?
I wanted to see if I could correct the problem before loading something else to it....Thanks
