O.P. Windows Update with msn7 and msn6.2
there are critical security updates on windows update. if you have folder in y program files 'msn messenger 6.2' and msn messenger 7.0' so you can run both of them, does this affect the update?

i thought this might affect it because of the msn .png security whole.

any help?
thanks.

It might, as Windows Update won't know where the two MSN Messengers are.

I don't recall of any updates for MSN Mesenger 7.x, only for MSN Messenger 6.x and Windows Messenger 5.0

is the question.
Going on about the fact that MSN7 doesn't need the update isn't actually relevant, as the problem here is whether Windows Update can find 6.2 in a non-standard place.
