dodgy cpu

O.P. dodgy cpu
on my pc, the cpu usage history is quite dodgy, see the screenshot attached.

Is this normal?

also, sometimes the music can be a bit jumpy.

edit:

my specs are P4 3.06ghz, 512 RAM, Ati Radeon 9200 64MB. I dont think you need any more details.

When i took the screenshot, i had opera, microsoft word and windows media player running (there are some other stuff running, but they are small programs running in the bg. i.e. signed out messenger, msgplus and whatpulse.)

I tried with mine. I launched WinAmp while Fireworks, Firefox and LeechFTP were open. It jumped to 100% load for like half a sec. when WinAmp first launched, then stayed around 7-10% load after that.

ok, i managed to lose a lod of usage by changing my wallpaper (i had a flash animation before), it now jumps between 4 and 44%

thats still abut poor, i have the same processor and most of the time its 1 or 2% (thats with 47 processes :O) it only really jumps when i start a new program
