O.P. SystemRestore from dos
does anyone know how to run SystemRestore from dos?

i was having rundll32 errors but my norton antivirus was out of date and unpayed, so i uninstalled it and downloaded AVG... it found that a virus called "funner" or something was found on the pc, it said it had healed it, but when i began to shut down an error showed up saying that there was a worm on the pc.

and on boot, the pc wouldn't log on to any users, as soon as i logged in it showed my background and then logged out again.

so i went to safe mode and did system restore, when i was back on the pc, i repeated what i had done before but restarted prior to installing avg

when i had completed a scan on avg the virus was found and supposedly healed, but the same warning was shown during shutdown.

On restart windows would not log in normal or in safe mode...

now i want to run system restore, and to run a specific symantec fix, now that i know that the worm is "funner"

but i don't know how to run system restore from dos... any ideas?

(DESPERATELY NEED HELP)
thanks allot

SystemRestore probably wouldn't help much, if at all, very few viruses are affected by SystemRestore...You may be able to take the hard disk out of your computer, put it in another as a slave drive and try and remove it using that method, but it may not work...and infect the other computer
You can format in DOS if you wish...but to back up data in DOS your only option is a removable drive or floppy diskettes.
