Hm, that's strange.   Maybe it's not your monitor at all, but your video card ?  Maybe you have to reinstall drivers or something so that your monitor knows ... :x

But uhm,  here's a choice that's a 19" that's cheaper than the LG one you might get.
Mine has that, Mine is almost hte same except for size and shiz....

And another pretty good deal..

Thanks for the help, but 1) Things look fine on my old CRT monitor with the same video card, and 2) Those prices are in USD so they're actually more :(

Also: I don't really like Daewoo, and the Sony has a 16ms response time (I want 12 or under :()

Thanks for th ehelp, though, Titty :)

You should be able to change the settings using the buttons on the monitor, or goto control panel and Benq has some software tp change the looks of the LCD....

Don't tell me to adjust the screen's brightness bcz I have it at 92/100 brightness and 55/100 contrast (and if I jack it up, the screen is TOO bright + the game and video doesn't get any better).

BenQ doesn't have that much software support, and the monitor settings are at the max brightness/contrast I can stand. Even when I crank up the settigns it doesn't help.

The place I went to replaced the LCD with only 1 dead pixel.. but on the warranty card I believe the limit is 2 or 3 I can't remember....
Also may sound stupid but have you tried using the BenQ calibration tool... load it up and press the i-key... makes everything look better... for me anyways...
