O.P. Shocked  Help with Windows XP x64
So I finally installed XPx64 and I went to go try it out but I ran into a hitch - my ethernet adaptor is built into my Motherboard and requires a driver off the ASUS install CD. Here's the hitch - it's a 32-bit CD and x64 can't run it properly -_-

Can anyone help me out? Anyone know of some kind of better 32-bit compatibility add-on/plug-in/tweak for XPx64? :P

The LAN adaptor is called the "Marvell Yukon 88E8001" and the motherboard is the ASUS A8V Deluxe.

Perhaps you don't really need the CD if you want the driver... this'll work for you :P

Blade, I hope that you have a second computer to help you out. A second computer is invaluable in these circumstances.

Blade, for future reference, please search the ultimate geek information source to see if you can find something before asking around on the forums. Just a suggestion,

By the way :dodgy: I'm just curious why you call it x64? It's still the x86 architecture. It's actually just "64bit" or whatever.. Microsoft Windows XP 64bit..

Anyway, when you're playing with XP 64bit you're still running all of your old 32bit apps right? Like Plus! which will run in 32bit compatibility mode. You don't see much of a performance increase do you because its running in a compatibility mode and not taking advantage of the 64bit processing power. - From what i've read anyways..
