I always feel complicated in switching between hiding and appearing.

When there are so many people on my list sometimes I need to appear only for somebody. But, unfortunately I need to block one by one.

If there is a plugin to make this easier I would appreciate.

But Plus! is able to block entire group. That should help you little.

i no that messenger discovery (not a plus add on) used to have and inivisble talker thing, that allowed mass blocking or something. If its still on there im not sure, but have a look and see. same deal as with plus,m except theres a dangourous spywere or something optional on messenger discovery
