O.P. MsgPlus uninstalls upon rebooting the computer
Yesterday, I downloaded and installed MsgPlus-325.exe and setup all the options etc.  When I installed I was off line with Firewall, AVG, SpywareGuard & Spyware Blast, Ad-Aware SE and Ad-Watch suspended.
This morning MsgPlus was not shown in either Windows or MSN Messenger.
I have un-installed/re-installed the programme several times with the same end result (i.e. MsgPlus not available after re-boot).
What am I doing wrong?

Old Nick (6)

Installed software: Win XP Home SP2, IE.6, Windows Messenger 4.7.300, MSN Messenger 6.2.

you could try selecting "force plus! to download at startup" in the preferences panel, and maybe you should check your programs in control panel to see if its uninstalling or just not loading

Thank you Edna, you were right in assuming I had used incorrect terminology, I should have said "not loading on boot-up" & not that it was un-installing on boot-up.  All I noticed was that it did not appear in the Messenger Programmes.
I had overlooked "Force Messenger Plus! to load when computer starts" in the Preferences>General Options.

All is well now...............once again, thank you for your prompt assistance.

Hi Edna,
I was wrong the problem is still prevalent. :@
Although I have checked "Force Messenger Plus! to load when computer starts", when I reboot the computer and start Windows or MSN Messenger Messenger plus! has not loaded.
I have found a work around in that after rebooting I click on "MsgPlus.exe" in C:\Program Files\Meqssenger Plus! 3, then I start MSN Messenger and Plus! is available.

You could try adding a shortcut to msgplus.exe then putting that shortcut in your start up folder (Found in the startmenu)

Madman66,
I followed your sugestion to add a shortcut to MsgPlus.exe to my Startup Folder and all appears to be functioning. However, I thought I had resolved the problem when I checked the box to "Force Messenger Plus! to load when computer starts".
This does not answer my original question.  Why did this problem arise, is it a bug in this 3.25 version?  I understand from the "Read Me" Text that 3.25 is a beta version.

By the way, in answer to Purity, I ran the W.32.Bropia Removal Tool 1.3.2 and nothing was found on my computer.

Do you have full access rights on your computer. I.E. can you efit the registary. If programs modifying the registary is blocked then plus may well have failed to add the entry.

And the latest beta is the 3.40 version which was posted on the forums.
3.25 is a full release

If problem persist, you could use apploader, with one click you could load plus and messenger, when you nee it.
