Shouldnt we be able to select diferent "Message alerts" for each contact? You know that annoying sound that plays everytime you recieve a message? We should be able to select different sounds acording diferent contacts or groups? I know the thing still blinks on the taskbar, but for those who have "Group similar taskbar buttons, or for those who.. whatever think this should be useful..

Anyway now any wise guy come here and says it would be impossible because it would play together with the default sound on"Sounds and Audio Devices" sound that is on Control panel, but we could just disable that one and configure on Plus! thing!!

I'm sure it would be possible as Patchou has the custom sign in and sign out sounds in plus!. It could be a good idea but i don't think many people will use it.

You could actually change the default sound by going to the MSN messenger folder. Usually C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger, and replace type with a different sound with the same name. Haven't tried this but don't see why it wouldn't work.

Well, yeah, Plus! could do that, but I'm not sure it would be that useful.. I'll keep it in mind .

This makes sense to me. After all, it's possible to create an Online notification, and that's already a Messenger feature. I think custom notifications when a message is received would makes sense.

No it's not, this thread is about the sound received when you receive a message (ie the sound you get as the taskbar flashes)
