In msn 7 how do you add your own animated smilies?

In a convowindow click the emoticonbutton, click on "more" then on "create". Next click on "find image" and browse to where you stored the smiley (rest is selfexplanatory).

But they just show as a still pic when i send them they dont animate

i have this problem....it works with some and not with others.....try a animation with less frames...it might be that*-) not sure on that though...

Some do work, and some don't unfortunately...

Hopefully microsoft fixes this problem up before the final release

It has to do with looping (amount of times it animates), edit the emote in f.e Jasc Animationshop and make sure looping isn't set to indefinate. Hopefully in the final version of MSN 7 this will be supported (they are aware of the problem).

by indefinate do you mean so it carries on, like infinite....cause ive got some that work and are infite ^o)

Yes thats what i mean. I also know some that are set to indefinate do work (it is a MSN Messenger bug that not all animated emotes can be added). Just incase the one you try to add doesn't you can try and edit it that way, lots of times it works ;)

in adobe imageready if you change the "frame disposal methods" of the last frame to "do not dispose" it normally works out fine in msn
