O.P. question/suggestion: tag for status?
Is there a tag (like (!N) for nickname) for the status (for example 'Away') of a contact? Or would it be possible to introduce one?

Coz more and more of my contacts use webmessenger, and then only a green "sphere" is shown instead of the little clock or busy symbol, so i have to hover over each contact in order to see whether theyre busy or not..
-and i dont want to make my contact list really big in order to see the status at the end of their long names
-and i do want to see their entire names, so just renaming them with a short name also isnt a real option

So if there would be a status-tag, i could add that between the custom name and the nickname of my contacts :cheesy:

Good idea, that way you could add the tag at the beggining if you wished also.

It's a good suggestion though. I hope Patchou reads it.

isn't the status always displayed in parenthesis in Messenger 7?

Yes it is, but only at the end of the (long) nickname of the contact, and i would like to set it after the custom name i give the person. For example:
"custom name" "(status)" "long nickname"
(coz my contact list isnt that wide and i cant see the statusses at the end of the long nicknames)

I hope i made it a bit clearer what i mean.

Ok, i hadnt been using the official release of 7 yet (only the official beta), and indeed they have changed this, so there is no longer the need for what i suggested :)

And thanx for your quick reply :cheesy:
