My friend is getting this error.

"Sorry, we were unable to sign you in to the .NET Messenger service at this time. Please try again later 80072ee7"

This didn't start until he downloaded the final release of Messenger 7. He has reinstalled it numerous times so ya...what could be the problem?!

also, which version of windows do you have?

well it's not me with the problem but my friend has Windows XP Home Edition.

i did a search in the microsoft newsgoups and there seems to be no solution for this (other than the one's you already tried)
