Say I removed the search button using A-Patch and I want to restore it later on, do I have to reinstall MSN Messenger again to be able to do this? Thanks
Try running A-Patch again, but choose the "Restore Backups" option. Unless you've deleted the automatically created backup files, this should work. Otherwise, you need to re-install MSN Messenger.
