O.P. Image help, PSP.
Hey,

I am hoping somebody here will be able to help me with something I'm just trying to do, seeing as I'm not exactly skilled with all the graphics work. I'm making something in PSP, and I have an image that I want to put onto it. The image is transparent around the edges when I open it, but it opens in photoeditor, and I want it in PSP. If I copy the image across, or try to open it in PSP, it appears in a black box rather than transparent, which is obviously no good when I am trying to put it into something.

Can anybody help me out?? Cheers.

then open PSP normally, then goto File and Open, and open the file that way. PSP should be able to open png files.

Yeh it opens the file ok, but instead of being transparent around the edges it is still black. I wondered if there is a setting I need to use?

It's only got one layer! I don't understand why an image that is seethru when opened in one program shows as being black when it's opened the other.

I think I just need a setting in PSP to set the transparency...?

PSP is Paint Shop Pro right? Because in photoshop it just comes transparent, you dont need to do anything! Now, about PSP i dont know whats wrong! some programs identify transparent as other color. Anyway, open the image in photo editor, because there shows transparent right? then save it as GIF, and then try to open gif in PSP
