Apparently i get a pop up everytime i sign in ..... i have 22 forum members on my list of which about 8 - 12 are online at any given time .... as soon as i sign in i get a msg ..."x has signed in" and above that "y has signed in"
Now a dayz the 1st pop up is "new ver. of msn msg 7 beta is here" then "u have x new emails" then the pop ups for all my friends also come

This even happens when i sign in with windows msg which reminds me to ask another question .... my win msg signs in on its own .... how do i stop it ...i dont wanna un install it .... and are there any upgrades btw ??


The main prob is the 1st one as it slows my pc plus is toooooooo annoying .... i dont wanna off the alerts cause they r essential to me

I have only had that problem twice, both times with MSN 7.0.0425, it only seemed to hapen when my computer was running really slow. I never had to change anyhting to fix it and i havnt yet had the problem with 7.0.0777

your contacts sign in/get a toast is because your contact list is slow to download of the servers so u sign in before all your contacts are added to your list (if u get that )

Dodgy toddy .... that linked redirected me to sunshine's thread I had already read that whats the solution to the win msg problem as well :/

I also have this problem but it dosnt really bother me

I'm not sure what he means myself, but I think it's something like your status is set to online before you get the contact list, so the server sends sign-in notifications. Not sure exactly, but that's the basic gist.

Errr...... ok ..... thats the win msg problem ..... what about that other problem of the pop ups
Sometimes when im sitting with my fmaily around me and i sign in i get a pop up in which my contact's name is abusive so its a bit embarassing
I dont wanna stop popups
Also is there a way to block a whole group of ppl in one touch and then unblock them in the same way or do we have to block every one of the ppl everytime ??

I know But sometimes ...... still the pop up shows the normal names
