O.P. custom status for each contact
hello, i was hoping someone could tell me if there's any way to set MY custom status to away, busy, offline for each contact i have.  i don't want to block them, but i want so sometimes act like i am not online.  but i don't want to set the away globally either because certain contacts are good to have full communication with.  i hope that makes sense.  i searched this some but my key words aren't very unique so the results were not to the point.  thanks, ck

That actually is impossible due to the protocol, you simply can't do that (ref: http://shoutbox.menthix.net/showthread.php?tid=39350).  Unless M_E stated, that you add the plugin at the other user too, which makes it pretty useless.

thanks a lot for the replies.  thinking about this more, i beleive to understand.  the msn server must handle the relaying of the status (except for blocking) and everytime somone that has you on their list looks at your status it comes from the msn server.  basically.  i doesn't come from my pc directly.  does that about sum it up?  thanks guys.  ck
