O.P. question about blogs....
is there a way that i can host a weblog from my own computer?

basically just like hosting a website or forum from a home computer.

Yes, if you use your computer has a server:)...oh and you need the blog itself...Search for a open-source one..:)

It's certainly possible, but remember that in order for people to view your blog, your computer would have to be booted up and online, and your server and database programs would have to be running.

Of course, you'd need the necessary programs installed, most likely PHP, MySQL, and Apache. There are some packages that allow you to quickly install all 3 at once, such as phpTriad, FoxServ, and EasyPHP.

yes i should of posted that i do have all the necessary programs installed , i have installed easyphp.
