can anyone provide a link to some virus-downloading sites. i want to check for myself how well does different anti-viruses do good at catching viruses!!!

I've never actually seen anywhere let viruses be downloadable. 

I don't imagine there is either could you imagine the destructive purposes this kind of site would provide idiots on the internet with

just jump on mirc and wait to be spammed with virus links

hint: get kazaa and type in random program and film names and wait for "those 5kb" files

simaller to what lee jeffery said. But just go to a p2p program and search like a game keygen. Then you will probobly see an .exe Download that. Its probobly a virus

Actually ...... when u search for games u'll see a bunch of 32 kb files ..... they r viruses .... i know cause my av caught them
I wouldnt try a stunt like this as i dont wanna risk loosing my files
There is another way u know. U can goto http://www.symantec.com ..... NAV's site and there they have a free av and firewall check
It takes a few mins but its good .... i tried it ... it gives a detailed report

Get the test done for free .... thats the best imo

John Anderton, there's no risk of losing anything if you use vmware to run the viruses on.

zaidgs, I have a few on my virtual machine from the past but I doubt they're good to test your AV...

try using google

I could give you sites but it's againt forum rules.

Hint: Search google for Virus Source code, I know theres a site out there that you can download almost any virus you want but I fot the url.
