oh that security test thing is good. i got safe on the first three and i only have windows firewall. but i failed on the last one cause i dont use an anti virus becuase it slows down the execution of files and i am usually quite sensible on the net and dont just downlload anything.
btw why do you want to have a virus i still dont really get what you mean?

i am no expert in testing AVs, and my test was pretty 'shallow' (i used 4 viruses downloaded from kazaa-lite with keyword "sex") although my test initially was to check the effiency of auto-protect features, all my four candidates acted instantly (norton 2005, symantec corp. 8.0, mcafee enterprise 8.0i, nod32)
yet it seems that mcafee has the most thorogh virus definitions as it caugh the 4 viruses i downloaded. nod32 caught 3. norton\symantec surprisingly caught only 2!!
so to brief it up, i dumped norton and changed to mcafee!!

nod32's definitions were back to december 2004, this might have been one reason it didnt detect it.
mcafee's defitinitions were march 2005.
norton's definitions were april 2005, so it got no excuse at all!!!

note that the viruses were not detected in my tests using both automatic and manual scans!! all options were optimized for maximum protection, including herutics which didnt even act after i ran the viruses!

This isn't a virus but you can check your firewall with it, it sends traffic to your computer

Just pick a letter and you will downlaod a zip file with all the virus with that name. pretty useful, you even have a file list of all the viruses here http://biohazard.xz.cz/download/seznam.txt

An e-mail I received today with an attachment. It's a .zip with a .exe inside. Probably a virus. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE ATTACHMENT INCLUDED WITH THIS POST, IT MIGHT DAMAGE YOUR COMPUTER

I got such an email once .... it said that my mail to a yahoo contact was not delivered ..... but i hadnt sent a mail It had an attachment with a virus
Why u posting it then Plz remove it The guy doesnt need to test ne more right ??

i wish i would encounter a fresh virus, so that i can test the heurutics effiency of mcafee's!! anyways, thanks Fredzz your link was exactly the thing i needed!
