ye i bn having that problem with Windows Media Player for like the past month and one of the posts was right. Somehow WMP disabled the Messenger plugin and to activate it again all you have to do is open WMP and go to tools - plugins and click on messenger plugin . if there is now a tick next to it your problem is fixed
