O.P. Updating log file more often?
I need to have MsgPlus write to the conversation log file each time something new is added to the convo, or at least every 1 second. It lets you change the interval in the Preferences panel, but you can't set it to be under a minute. Is there a registry value for this? Is it possible?

The value has to be atleast 1 minute. Isn't that suffice enough? Updating every second isn't a good idea cause it could cause more system leg with writing to files every second.

And not everyone in the world has a perfect computer, so, you really don't need to change it. Patchou could make some registery setting that could be changed via TweakPlus, altho, I dont think that exists, yet.

It's definately not a good idea to write log every second, unless you only use your pc for msn and nothing else, and I doubt that ;) If you look at the logs that msn keeps by itself, you'll see you have to wait some time too before your last conversation is saved...

But that is my opinion!

MSN's logs are saved each time you quit the client. MsgPlus's logs are saved when you close the convo window. I have a reason for saving the log file more often, I'm not suggesting it because I feel like it would be a good idea. And yes, the computer will only be left on with MSN running and nothing else - it's what I need for a project I'm working on.
I'd love it if Patchou adds a registry tweak for this!

I read somewhere that Patchou designed it that way. He felt there could be some errors if the logs were saved in real time.

I don't know the whole logic behind it. I guess Patchou or someone with a little more knowledge about this sort of thing could help you more.
