Hi everyone...

Getting some error message saying the there is an invalid character in the log file?!?

I've gone through the file and found that the character the error is referring to is the letter 'a'

Simply the letter: a
?????

This is one exemple... but I do get this often when closing chat logs of shutting down MSN (which closes the chats windows obviously!)

Is it because of a limitation on the number of characters a file can hold?!?

I just love the plugin software... it's soooooo handy... simply the fact we can rename our contacts is AMAZING!!! For me this is a MUST!!!

I hope anyone can tell me why I'm getting this and even better, how I can fix the issue?!?

Note that this is the MSN logging not plus! so this is not a bug in plus!. I turn MSN logging off and just use plus! logging.

Well, it's not a bug in MsgPlus... but something caused by MsgPlus!

I'll try disabling the MSN original logging...

In fact, it IS a bug of Messenger Plus! too, a bit. Messenger Plus! has now its own logs scanner, that should remove all bad characters from XML log of MSN Messenger. It does not function 100% properly, though, neither Scan XML Logs does.

What I do is same as what monster.rat suggested -- turning off MSN Messenger's chat logs, leaving only MsgPlus! chat logs on.

Another possibility, is that the error might be caused by bad characters once saved in XML log. Maybe MsgPlus! does remove all the bad characters since XML log scanner is included (Version 3.50), but the error is caused by previously saved bad character. Try delete or replace all your MSN Messenger chat logs (by default C:\Documents and Settings\
%username%\My Documents\My Received Files\{your email address}\History), maybe that will solve the provlem too
