How do you get rid of icon shadows?

O.P. How do you get rid of icon shadows?
how do you get rid of the ugly box behind icons on the desktop? i seen a thread bout this somewhere but i can't find it in search :(

behind icons? i know you get it behind the text underneath icons...is that what you mean? if so i have seen that aswell on here...*-) hmm

RE: How do you get rid of icon shadows?
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

Click System.

On the Advanced tab, click Settings under Performance.

Tick the box  "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop"  click Apply, and then click OK.

Close Control Panel.
