TB will kill you for that :P. The key makes every user he has come to his site at least once, his site has banners, TB makes money (and i don't blame him for that at all). TB makes less money if people get their key at other places.

But maybe TB could set up some kind of mirror for the key generator, so the is still a way of activating StuffPlug when his site is failing.

I'll contact TB when i see him.

Yea i know, i wouldnt do it anyway, cos knowing TB has probally has a really complictaed algorithm anyway :P

But the Validation Key Generator Mirror is a good idea, but it should only be online when Stuffplug.com is down, otherwise ppl still won't goto to TB site.  I've said to him before I'd host a mirror for it, but he wasn't too keen, cos he said when the site is down, it's not normally for very long
SoundPacks   -   Scripts   -   Skins

that's not a bug, thats an unexpected feature

Note to everybody who cant access StuffPlug's validation key page:

Please tell us:
- In which country do you live?
- What is the name of your internet provider (ISP)?

This will help us find the real cause sooner so there can be a more permanent solution, thanks.

I live in Brazil, my ISP is "Telemar".

Btw, i thought the installation key was permanent, and now I started setup again, and got other ID. Could you please send me the validation key for this code: BFC1-8102 ? It's the 0739 version of StuffPlug.

Thanks!

Yeah i think a mirror for the codes is good, but as dempsey says, only when the site is down

Is TB going to get more bandwidth?

RE: I Need a Validation Key for the StuffPlug-NG!!
For now 100GB is enough :)

Besides, the File Server has got more then that... So the 100 gig is only for the Site / Forum & the Blog (as far as I know)

---Edit---

For all those who can''t access the site, I guess this is due to a DNS problem with your provider. If you could access it before this might be caused by your ISP. If you never could''ve accessed this site, this could be a problem with your IP adress (some ranges are not widely known, i even got some problems with my ISP, with some sites)..

You could try modifying the HOSTS file :)
Also, if you experience problems.. Try pinging the site (Stuffplug.com).

To do so:

Go to start -> Run -> cmd -> enter
type in:
ping stuffplug.com

This should look like:

quote:
Answer from 70.85.57.4: bytes=32 time=123 ms TTL=50
Answer from 70.85.57.4: bytes=32 time=123 ms TTL=49
Answer from 70.85.57.4: bytes=32 time=123 ms TTL=49
Answer from 70.85.57.4: bytes=32 time=123 ms TTL=50

If you get Ping timeout's you probably found the problem ...

For all who wants to try the "Edit the HOSTS" file.. Do this:

Go to start -> Run -> notepad c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts -> enter

Something like this will show up:

quote:
# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
#      102.54.94.97     rhino.acme.com          # source server
#       38.25.63.10     x.acme.com              # x client host

127.0.0.1       localhost

Add the following line:
quote:
70.85.57.4       stuffplug.com

Please note: The whitespace is a TAB...

Do NOT remove the LOCALHOST entry, because this is needed by some problems and it could get you into trouble...

If you want to be safe, backup the original HOSTS file (in the c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts folder)

The use and misuse of this information is at your own risk. I am only trying to help you out with this problem, but if the problems made worse because you didn''t read it or there was some kind of error, i cannot be held responsible for any damage....

If you got any questions, you're welcome to ask
