O.P. Installing XP on a SATA Drive.
Alright, so I recently formatted my hdd to do some spring cleaning and to fix some problems. I'm ready to reinstall XP, but when I go to install it, it gives me an error that Windows cannot find any hard drives. I've installed the SATA RAID drivers when Windows asked me to during setup, but it still fails to find any hard drives.

Maxtor 120GB SATA
ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe (Socket A) with an nVidia nForce2-ST chipset

Gracias

RE: Installing XP on a SATA Drive.
-make sure it is connected properlly (disconect->reconect) i know its dumb but sometimes it's worth to check
- make sure that there is no dust or anything in the cables, or if they are not broken and dont have any cracks (use another 1 just for test if u have)
cant think of anything else right now

Solved. I had to take the drivers off the original motherboard CD, install XP using those, THEN download the ones from in internet and install for it to work with the latest version 8-)
