O.P. avatar resize in user cp
if you add an avatar from a url, it is resized in threads and in profiles but not in the main user cp avatar preview

I doubt he will for two reasons:
1. He's lazy
2. It's resized in threads to avoid mucking up the layout

The automatic resizing is a temporary measure to prevent too much inconvenience, but this method isn't fully reliable and doesn't replace the avatar guidelines.

Good, if it's so big it annoys you when you view your CP, that will encourage you to change it. (y) :refuck:

Yeah, exactly. The JavaScript resizer is not reliable, only a convenience. For example, in Opera, only the first instance of a certain avatar will be resized, even if it's shown multiple times on the page. :dodgy:

If you actually upload the avatar to the forums (avatar.php) then it will be really resized by PHP.
