Hi there.

This could possibly be a feature of the next MsgPlus update.
Can you make irc:// hyperlinks active (as they used to be!!) in MSN again please?

This was most frustrating when they ceased to be active (clickable).

Please let me know the limitations (if any) of doing this, and if someone could do it, given that I don't have the coding skills

I'm not sure it has anything to do with Plus. It's more likely that your PC isn't set up with a default IRC handler, or Messenger itself has had the support removed.

I have a IRC protocol handler and it doesn't show as a hyperlink with me either. So it can be indeed be that msn messenger removed it (if it was present before <= dunno about that though)

I do have irc handlers (otherwise I wouldn't have had the links before and may not even know of the existence of irc:// links ) but MSN did used to be able to handle these.  I do hope someone might be able to whip something up

someone could code a plugin for msn links, like:
msn://email@here.co.uk
which would open a convo with that person. There is some javascript fuctions i think using activex which can do this, but firefox doesnt suport it.
