i have a problem with my router...

O.P. i have a problem with my router...
on my computer, it is 100mbps, and on my parents computer it is only 11mbps

the brand that we are using is linksys, i have the router on my computer, whie my parents have the usb network adapter.

is there a way to boot up the speed on my parents side?

do you mean a usb wireless adaptor?  If so then i beleieve that 11mbps is the wireless maximum

im on a router and it dsays my internet speed it 400 mbps but its only a 1mbps its wot ur network card can take

yea the older standard 802.11b has a top speed of 11 Mbp

and the new stanard 902.11g has a top speed of upto 54 Mbps

now here is my off topic/ sorta on topic question.

how can i setup my router to allow me to host a website from my computer?

i have a address, it is http://xxxxxxxx.xxxx.net

but when i type it in firefox, it brings me to my router setup page.

Forward port 80 to the PC running the webserver. That PC will have to be configured with a static IP though.

Your router should have an instruction manual, and you can find out the other stuff on GOogle.
