O.P. Trouble signing in (Just my account though)
Hi.

I am having trouble signing in to MSN Messenger when using my PC.

I can sign in no problem on my laptop which is on the same network as the PC but when it comes to signing in on the PC it is very troublesome.

It is set to automatically sign in on Internet detection. This always fails. I then proceed to manually click 'Sign-in' and it says 'signing in'. After two or three seconds it goes back to the 'Sign-in' button and I have to try again. This can happen up to 30-40 times before it actually signs in. Occasionally I ghet a pop-up saying that the MSN server is busy but it works fine on the laptop.

I thought it must be something to do with the PC but when going in to other members' user areas on the PC I can sign in fine. However, trying to sing in other people on my user area and the same problem occurs.

Any ideas? I've tried disabling the firewall for a while but no luck...Maybe it's a plug-in problem?

Thanks if anyone can help.

Do you get an error message? Can you connect via WebMessenger?

Yep i can sign in using Web Messenger and Windows Messenger no problem.

I did a quick search of the forum and found a thread with a similar problem. Someone here suggested downloading MSNServer beta (or something with a similar name) and this seems to have fixed the problem for the time being.
