have you tried waiting a bit? maybe it just loads your msn contact list...

also, do you have any skins/patches/add-ons installed? do you, by any chance, have an lvback.gif in the msn messenger directory?

I've waited for a bit and it still says white.
The only plugin i have is MSN Plus.
I don't have that image in the directory.

It done this before, and i used the repair button, but this time it ain't repairing :(

maybe you are low on memory? close down some applications and try again.

also, if that doesn't work, can you try again after uninstalling msgplus? (not assuming anything, but maybe msgplus could be the cause of this problem)

I used the search button in the Start bar for lvback.gif
It found 2 images (the same)
One in:
C:\Program Files\Messenger and one in
C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i836
