hi, I know there was a thread about where custom emoticons were stored, but when I went to that folder, all i saw were *.dat files.. Is there anyway to convert those into gifs or something? cos I have some really cute emoticons which I would like to save and use elsewhere..

I just renamed the files to *.gif (except map.dat) and they showed as correct pictures

If this doesn't work for you, maybe you can try to rename it to .png or some other picture formats

They'll either be PNG or GIF, depending on whether they're animated or not.
