Hi!

what i'm about to ask may seen a bit repetitive, but...
i've install msn Messenger 7.0.0813 and msgPlus 3.54.132
and i try to save to myself , sounds, whinks and emoticons that friends of mine send me, but when i click on then, i don't have any options to save then.
i had a version that all it needed was click on the whinks / emoticons and it was saved into my personal list...

can someone help me?

i made a little app that saves all of those except sounds, i havent really looked into sounds.

ah well its been sitting there and needs some spiffing up, but sure.

oh btw you need .Net Framework Beta 2, its written in vb2005 .

All the stuff your contacts throw at you (emoticons, DP's, etc...) are ALWAYS saved automatically in your temporary internet files. This is also the reason why DP/CE stealers can do their job. They don't "steal" anything at all, they simply relocate the already saved stuff on your computer from the temporary internet files to some other folder...

Your stuff is saved in the Windows application directory.

In other words, there are 2 very different things: your stuff and the stuff from your contacts...

Sounds have nothing to do with MSN Messenger itself and are specific Messenger Plus! things.
If you have ticked the option:
Plus! > Preferences > General Options > Sounds > Automatically download custom sounds when needed
then all the sounds your contacts send to you are automatically saved in your personal sound library from Messenger Plus!.

This is not what rverissimo is asking for. This program saves your own stuff, not the stuff from your contacts...

I don't think he's looking for a backup program, but instead looking to save them from a conversation.

To save emoticons from a conversation, left-click one so a black outline appears, then right-click and 'Add...'. Sounds, if you mean Custom Emotion Sounds, are automatically saved (they appear in the Sound Library), and Winks can't be saved as you have to pay for them.

Hope that clears everything up

Thanks guys for your help...
but i still can't save emoticons...
when i left click the emoticon and then right click, the only option available is "copy"...
so i select "copy", but no emoticon....

any ideia?
