O.P. Shocked  popups
New problem arose with installation of stuffplug or msn messenger itself. something I never had was 100s of popups. now they come in loads and stop everything I do. tried this on another pc and at frist uninstalled sponsors and then the entire msn messenger plus and no more pop ups
I would like to keep it going cause really need msn messenger but really mean I want to keep plus with stuffplugs
any ideas on this subject
thank you guys and gals

RE: popups
It may be smiley central. Go to contorl panel> Add/Remove Programs> look for smiley central> remove.

Also look for any other slightly dodgy things under add/remove programs and maybe research them.

You can also try running some spyware/adware scans.

Try:

Microsoft Anti-Spyware (Beta)

Ad-aware SE 1.06

Spybot Search & Destory

EDIT: If this is to do with stuffplug, you will probably get a better reply to posting on the stuffplug forums at http://www.stuffplug.com/forum/

O.P. Wink  RE: popups
I'm sorry didn't explain myself correctly.  BTW, I do own Lavasofts Ad-aware, and search and destroy, firewall is ZA.
This all occurs with Messenger Plus no msn messenger and not because of stuffplug.  Cause when I uninstalled Plus on my other pc it stopped.  I did try uninstalling sponsors by itself. Going to try ms antispyware u mention
thank you for now will get back

RE: popups
If you have tried to remove the sponsor program with any other method than the one below please download Messenger Plus again (click here to start download) and, like before, install the sponsor program once more.

--------------------------------------------------------
To remove the sponsor program;
Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > Messenger Plus! 3 > Change/Remove > And the uninstall Sponser program only.

The sponsor program has been safely removed.
