I don't know if it's been posted before or if it's even possible... but!

My suggestion is that..
At the top of the msn window where the button is to hide the toolbar etc, there should be another button. When the button is pressed, the contact list slides off the side of screen, like what happens when you hide your display picture in the chat windows, then a new bar appears in the top right of your screen like a button with an arrow and when you press it, the contact list slides back out again..

Not the worst idea in the world. Maybe when you clicked the button for it to go to the top, left, right or bottom... it could hide the contacts from the task area... although Messenger Lock does all this for you... so i dont think it would get added...

Keep the idea's coming, im sure Patchou appreciates them all

I do think it would be nice, but i do think Fushion has a good point. But yes im for it , if i could i would make MSN Slide

I think TazDevil made a plugin that automatically hides the window, much like you can set the taskbar to auto-hide. The link to it is in his sig atm, so just check his profile.

I used to have that plugin, it's okay.. but I like the idea Silx is proposing, a button would be a lot better than just moving your cursor on the thing, sometimes I move my cursor around to find it, and everything, the msn contact list reopens
