O.P. Shut Down Lock
This will be an odd request but I will proceed.

I am on Windows XP, and when I leave the PC unattended; I press Win + L, this brings the start up screen up.

However, other users on my computer shut the PC down, thus logging me off. Is there a way I can stop this happening?

I have told them several times but still they reset the PC.

Any work arounds would be grateful.

Are you running Windows XP Pro or Home?

It would be nice to stop them from shutting down your PC for no reason, but what if the system freezes or becomes unstable and really needs to be restarted? :^)

Of course you could force the PC to turn off, but that's not really a good thing to do...

well if it is really bad then yeah turn the PC off at the mains, and if the system crashes it wouldn't let you get the start menu to close it :P
