O.P. microsoft photo editor

i have windows xp, a new computer and microsoft office 2000 installed i beg to know why i dont have microsoft photo editor installed! this is my last question i need to know after my new pc.

where can i get this program? and why don't i have it? Answer these questions and msgplus forums will be filled with happy solutions to my stupid questions forever

Did you do a custom install and select specific options for each program? Because as far as I can remember (without getting up and walking 5 feet to get my Office 2000 cds) there should be an option for Microsoft Photo Editor on the 2nd CD I think. But you have to do an Advanced install.

The later versions of MS Office removed Photo Editor, 2003 I think. But if you've got 2000 installed you can probably still get it, Like matty said.
I don't think it's installed by default so you can check by going to:

Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Microsoft Office -> Change -> Add or Remove Features -> Advanced Install/Customization... Photo Editor will be under Office Tools.

The directions aren't word perfect but I'm sure you'll get there :)
