and then where ever you want  bold or underline or strike out click the plus sign logo on the left and go to insert a text formating tag...this goes for colours as well except you press ctrl + k for colorus! hope this

There's actually a whole raft of keyboard shortcuts.
- Ctrl+B toggles bold
- Ctrl+U toggles underline
- Ctrl+T toggles italic (I think)
- Not sure what strikethrough is
You can also highlight some text and press Ctrl+R, then select the formatting option you want applied.

not on Messenger Plus! it does not

Ctrl+R displays a special panel to help you apply bold, italic, underlined and strike-out attributes
Ctrl+B = (!FB) = bold
Ctrl+T = (!FI) = italic
Ctrl+U = (!FU) = underlined
Ctrl+S = (!FS) = struck-out (Messenger Plus! 2.20 and above)
Ctrl+O = (!FR) = reset all
Ctrl+K = (!FC),(!FG) = text colour,background color
The first number you put after Cltr+K is the text color
If you want to specify a background color, put a comma and another number

Actually... I think the way raceprouk said works also... That's the way I did it anyways... and my nick is right.

They do, however i copied from the guide and posted a link so people could be sure
