You must have accepted the sponsor by mistake, which is not spyware but adware.

Read Patchou's instructions to remove the sporsor.

This is extremly common, I havent installed Plus! in a while, but I have an idea. When you install it a webpage comes up with Plus on, how about if its made a comment where it says something like
'is there a bar on your current internet browser you installed with Plus! by accident, then please click here....' etc

We don't want people who install the sponsor by the own accord to be discouraged, there's nothing wrong with the sponsor, I'd use it myself were this my computer and not my family's.

Well - I installed once by accident, and Spybot went crazy - I'm sure that although Adware it creates loopholes for spyware and the like

Most adware removal programs detect Messenger Plus! as spyware/adware regardless if the sponsor has been installed or not, now ask yourself how reliable their services are.

Then I suggest you research on the sponsor, search these forums for posts relating to the sponsor and you'll see you are proven wrong.

Please don't add on to the numerous rumours going around that the sponsor is malicious, it is not, end of.
