O.P. Sad  Ext HDD problem
Well hey,

I have a 40GB toshiba HDD the one used for portables, so i bought it a ST LAB USB 2.0 Pocket HDD case, and i installed it in it.

Now when i Put the HHD into usb it start loading it appears in Device manager, and i can see the 2 icons in my computer.

but after a while it gose off like nothing is attached.

I tried to FDISK it, coz this HDD already have files on it, and it's being also partitioned but the short time before it goes off isn't enough.

BTW i alread made the same thing on another HDD it was an 80 also toshiba, but the case isn't ST LAB, so what do u think is the Problem over here??

thanks in advance

Sounds like your computer is having problems mounting the device. Driver issue perhaps?

my guess is that the problem has something to do with the partitioning of the drive.
I should change my sig ay?
