O.P. booting codecs?
Hi,

Is there a way to see what codecs are booting at startup, not thru msconfig.

Thanks

RE: booting codecs?
Device Manager (which is right click "My Computer"> Properties > Hardware > Device manager) > look for "Sound, Video, and game controlers on the list (Or something along those lines) > Video Codecs > Properties Tab. And there you should see a list.

Will removing those codecs stop them from booting or will they be uninstalled if I go thru the My Computer route?

RE: booting codecs?
You can disable the codecs from working by simply renaming the Ace Mega Codecs folder (I do it all the time :))

I don't want to disable them just to make sure they don't boot at start up but I still want to use them.
