On my conversation window there are buttons missing such as the font button, emoticon button and others. Even to add a person to the conversation button is gone? Is there a way to get them back?

I tried signing in and out but there still gone. I asked my sister to sign in hers and the buttons are there! But when i sign in there gone again. Can anyone help?
