RE: UXTheme
If you patched your uxtheme with a good installer it should provide an repair option, otherwise try to use repair from the windows install cd or get someone elses unpatched uxtheme.dll

RE: UXTheme
the main reason that it would slow down your appearence properties is that you have alot of themes installed in your c:\windows\resources\themes\ directory. try removing all but your favorites and it would speed up.

RE: UXTheme
but you might still like them.. make a new folder titled "old themes" or w/e and keep them in there just incase you might still want to use them  :)

This way by keeping your favourites, load time should still be fast without removing anything :D

getting them is easy, just search google
My fave site is http://studiotwentyeight.com
other on that is good is the Neowin VS Forum ;)

you put them in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes

You may not have a theme folder in "Resources" so just create one.
