you sure its mSGplus. did you download it from here?

http://download.msgplus.net/files/MsgPlus-354.exe

you should only download it here due to fake ones and viruses etc.

It downloaded itself through the Automatic Update Feature (i think i had 3.52 before i updated) so im pretty sure its the real one. the file properties seem ok and it dosent have any viruses i can detect

EDIT: I Use AVG Free, all up to date, along with Zonealarm, latest version

ZA is probably just detecting Plus! watching for Short Cut keys and logging. I wouldn't worry about it. But I would report it to the ZA developers.

RE: Plus! 3.54 Keystroke/Mouse Log alert
If I remember correctly Plus! uses a keyboard hook and a mouse hook. The mouse hook is to watch for inactivity to set your status to an Idle state, and the keyboard hook is just to manipulate the text since you can't directly read what is typed in the conversation window and also to log the chats. None of this information is kept (aside from chat logs) or sent anywhere so don't worry about that.

Na, I'm just using a CBT hook, Messenger Plus! does not set any global keyboard or mouse hook. Zone Alarm is just doing what others are doing nowadays which is to give you a maximum number of useless information to justify its presence.

na man, its zone alarm being buggy, ever since they updated its been saying that about alot of programs like photoshop msn messenger firefox, just click deny, the program will still run just without the monitors (even tho theyre not there)

oh ok then. well i thought i was a problem with msgPlus because i updated zonealarm a few days before i updated plus. i told ZA it was a trusted program and all warnings have gone. i think it just reset its security status due to the EXE update. its all good now! :)
