O.P. Removing User Accounts On WinXP.
I have 3 user accounts on my computer.

1) Banky- Administartor Account
2) Others- Limited Account
3) User1- Administartor Account.

And I'm Trying to remove the 2nd account. But everytime I click to remove it ask's if i want to kepp or delete the files so i select delete files it says ok.. Then the thing freeze's up.. Then Shuts the User Accounts Window. I Open it back up click remove and select to keep the files. And it still freezes up.

So I decided to start-up in Safe mode. And upon doing this I open up The User Accounts window and for my eyes to see. Only 2 accounts showed up

- Banky- Administartor Account
- User1- Administartor Account.

So I figured that it had been deleted after I had restarted the computer. So I restart and boot in normal mode. And upon selecting the user to login all 3 users where back

- Banky- Administartor Account
- Others- Limited Account
- User1- Administartor Account.

So I login to my account and try the process of removing it over again and the thing just freezes. Any ideas???

Edit:// More Info - I noticed when loging into the account I want removed.. The desktop is missing everything except Recycleben. And many files are inaccessable.

Thanks/

It seems as if its able to delete files but crashes when deleting the user... or possibly, it crashes half way through deleting files. Try answering 'No' to that step, and deleting them manually. (e.g: del c:\docume~1\whateveruser)

If it still crashes, try deleting the user using the command 'mmc lusrmgr.msc' in Start > Run.

that's because you can only see Administrator accounts when running in safe mode, oddly enough.
